Fun City the Wiki

This is the home page for a Pathfinder First Edition campaign named Fun City most of which occurs on the Elusive Isle.

This wiki has 160 articles. More will come with time.

Where Do I Start?

The Cursory Summary is the most recent situation captured in under one hundred words. That's probably best. Players behind the Heroes may want the Loot List.

The Chronicle has a detailed record of what has gone before. The Timeline of Events has a history of major events on the world of Poem.

There's a section on Creating a First Level PC which will help players to set up their first Level One player character.

Do I Have To Read? I Do Not Want To Read!

Q: As a player, I just want to show up and hit things. Do I have to read all this exposition and history to play?

A: No.

The Gamemaster makes this promise to the players: Each session will be its own contained episode of Fun. You won't need these details to play.

Think of this wiki as the Bonus Features on a Blu-ray disc of a movie you've purchased. The gaming session is the main event. This wiki is a combination of the commentary, extended scenes and blooper reel you'd find. It is meant to support the gaming session. It is not required.

Part of the challenge for any Gamemaster is to convey what's happening to the players. My thought is that this game setting will make more sense to the players if they have maps to see distances between places and histories for people, places and things. The details in this wiki will help provide verisimilitude.

The GM thinks the setting is more fun and (slightly) more believable if it is internally consistent. Details tracked in this wiki should help keep things consistent. Then again, contradictions and dichotomies can be funny, and the campaign is called Fun City.

How does this relate to other Fun Stuff?

Fun City the Campaign is inspired by:

May I contribute?

Sure!

Contact me (your Gamemaster) for an account. Anonymous contributions and many other features are turned off by default. Once your account is set up, go ahead and add to the Chronicle or your PC or wherever your dice roll. This wiki is meant to be for the players.

This is an installation of Mediawiki so editing should be straightforward.

Why are so many pages on this site restricted?

A few reasons:

  1. Players First: This wiki is for the players of the campaign and the GM. If you're not a player, you likely will not get an account.
  2. You have to Ask For It: I (your Gamemaster) like to think I'm funny and that my writing is witty. You may disagree. Anonymous View Access is turned off. To view the lion's share of the content here, you have to explicitly ask me for access.

If you're readying this, you probably already know how to contact the GM. If not, please try contacting me through the Standard Eyre blog.
